About Me
Hey there. I’m Matt Convente, a front-end developer and designer living in Brooklyn, NY. I’m the lead front-end developer at Grovo.
Curious is the best word to describe me; adventurous is a close second. I capitalize observation and strategize everything. I’m also really good at those “What’s Different?” games where you compare two similar scenes.
Even though my formal education was in print design, I’ve been playing around with code for half my life, and I’ve found that I quite like it.
I love building products from the ground up, and I’m always learning as much as I can about the latest web standards, practices, and technologies. CreativeMornings, A Book Apart and Brooklyn Beta have played an integral role in my continuing education.

This site is built in WordPress using the Starkers theme to start. I use Less to write my styles and CodeKit to compile them. The headlines and body copy are set in CamingoDos Web served by Typekit. The icons on the project page list are from an SVG sprite; all other icons are set in Symbolset served by @font-face.
